Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

A routine traffic stop is anything but routine as one driver finds himself behind bars.

Houston County authorities confiscated two- and-half ounces of crack cocaine and 14 bags of marijuana packaged for sale.

Deputies tried to stop a car on Montgomery Highway when the driver, 25 year old Dothan resident Elias McNealy, abandoned the car and fled on foot.

Authorities caught up with McNealy, and he's been charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of marijuana 1st degree.

He was booked into the Houston County Jail under a $60,000 bond.
