FCC spokesman Dane Snowden says WorldCom has been notified that it has "legal obligations" to its consumers.
Snowden says WorldCom has told federal regulators that customer service will not be interrupted.
But he says if WorldCom decides to change or terminate service, then they must give consumers 30 days notice. The FCC can extend the termination date if it sees fit.
