The unofficial start to the holiday shopping season is less than two weeks away and retailers are already offering big discounts.
Retail experts say the best deals in the coming weeks will be on electronics and smaller LCD televisions and some bigger-size plasma TVs.
Consumer sentiment is down for the second straight month and retailers are bracing for a tough holiday shopping season.
We'll find out if people were more willing to spend in October when the government releases the official retail sales figures.
