Bringing New Businesses

Target opened last month and already, businesses surrounding the store are ready to open.

Dick's Sporting Goods, located beside Target, is set to open April 28th.

The Chamber of Commerce has confirmed several fast food chains are planning to open across the street including Sonic and Arby's.

The chamber says the new growth is great for Dothan.

Dothan Chamber of Commerce President Matt Parker said, “We're exceeding our 10 year growth rate in five years and we're being recognized for it."

Officials also say they are talking with a restaurant specializing in wings, which would be located between Wallace College and Troy University-Dothan.

Glad to see the growth in Dothan. Please use some of the extra tax money to improve alternate roads to the new shopping for local residents. Back entrances away from U S 231 and the congestion to relieve the thru traffic. We need a new by-pass. This one was built in 1957. It is the newest road we have. I think we need new roads to reroute some of the traffic.
