Former Police Officer Sentenced for Sex Charges

A former Andalusia police officer has been ordered to spend the rest of his life behind bars and then some.

62-year-old Joel Kelley was found guilty last month of sex crimes against two women.

A Covington County jury convicted him on of sexual torture, sodomy and assault charges.

The state attorney general's office prosecuted the case.

Judge Ashley McKathan ordered Kelley to serve two life sentences plus 20 years in prison.

    Bravo to the Prosecuter, Jury and Judge McKathan. This is one time that justus has been served.
