At least three soldiers with Alabama ties were injured during a gunman's rampage at Fort Hood.

The injured include Maj. Randy Royer of Dothan, Staff Sgt. Chad Davis, who has family in Eufaula and Warrant Officer Christopher Royal, from Elmore County.

Major Royer suffered shoulder, leg, and knee injuries in Thursdays attack and those wounds are not life-threatening.

Chad Davis was shot in the shoulder and was released from the hospital on Friday.

Royal was shot in the chest and is in the hospital.

Governor Bob Riley has directed flags on state government buildings to be flown at half-staff until sunset Tuesday as a tribute to those killed at Fort Hood, Texas.
