FORT RILEY, Kan. (AP) - Three soldiers who were killed in Iraq were remembered Thursday in a memorial service at Fort Riley's Morris Hill Chapel.

The First Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment ceremony honored Specialist Curtis Glawson Junior of Daleville, Alabama, Sergeant Wayne Cornell of Holstein, Nebraska, and Private First Class Stephen Richardson of Bridgeport, Connecticut.

They were killed last week in an insurgent attack in Baghdad.

Captain Sean McCoy says Cornell and Richardson were killed when a roadside bomb hit their Humvee while they were clearing neighborhoods of insurgents.

Glawson was a mechanic assigned from another unit to take care of the battalion's vehicles. His vehicle struck another bomb as he drove to the scene to take care of the disabled vehicle.

The Daleville native will be buried Saturday in his hometown.
