Researchers are tracking the way one type of fish gets rid of mosquitoes.
Gambuzi Minnows swim along the top of most ponds and eat the larvae of mosquitoes.
Many fish farmers and pond owners welcome the mosquito slayer because large doses of larvae could be harmful to other fish.
The Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland recently donated some of the hard working fish to several ponds in Barbour County to help get rid of some of the pests.
News 4 will get an update of the ponds to see how much difference the Gambuzi Minnows are making.
