A Northwest Florida man is listed in stable condition at a Dothan hospital after being stabbed five-times.
Bloods stains on the porch of a gaskin community home indicate where the altercation took place.
Homeowner Cecil Bellamy says his friend, Randy Norris, became violent after drinking.
Bellamy says Norris began chocking him, and that's when he pulled out a pocket knife in self defense.
Bellamy says he proceeded to stab Norris until he let go of him.
“He grabbed me by the throat. We got down on the floor and wrestled. He began chocking me, and I got out my pocket knife and stabbed him. I then poked him more times," said Bellamy
Bellamy says he still considers Norris a friend.
At this time no arrest has been made, and the case remains under investigation.
