Winn-Dixie is asking customers across Eastern Alabama, North Florida, and South Georgia to lend their support to the tornado victims.
Through the “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” program, customers can donate any amount, 50-cents to $500 and it's automatically added to the grocery bill.
The money goes directly to the Amercan Red Cross' disaster relief fund.
Managers at the Winn-Dixie on West Main in Dothan say there's been a tremendous response from the community.
“This program is extremely important. Not only do we take cash donations, we take non-perishable food items. We've taken clothe, but it's very important," says Jamie Matthews.
Donations can be made at any Winn-Dixie.
The program will run through Saturday, March 31st.
