Dozens of wiregrass residents pounded the pavement Saturday morning for a good cause.

The second annual “Buddy Walk” took place at Kiwanis Park in Dothan.

The one mile walk is held in support of the "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." organization.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. stands for families reaching, influencing, educating and networking for Down Syndrome.

Today's event was a fun-filled day with plenty of dancing, food, and games.

This year, former Alabama football star Siran Stacy served as walk leader.

“I mean you see the excitement, people are showing up on a Saturday, they could be out you know playing golf, going to the Alabama football game, but here it is, this is such a worthy cause and you know I’d rather be nowhere else than right here, right now, today,” said Stacy.

Knology organized and sponsored today's event.
