Disaster Assistance Money Coming

Alabama will receive more than 3-million dollars in federal assistance for recovery from the March first tornado.

15-days ago, President Bush visited the Wiregrass and declared Coffee, Wilcox, Henry, Dale, Montgomery and Dallas counties eligible for financial assistance to residents.

Saturday, state and federal officials announced Alabama will receive those funds.

Residents living in these counties, who suffered damage or loss of a home or business, are encouraged to apply for the assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA.
