Thousands of school supplies, ranging from backpacks to pencils, have flooded into the Enterprise City Schools collection site.
They've been donated by people and organizations from throughout the southeastern part of the country.
The Gulf Coast region has passed along many materials that were given to them following Hurricane Katrina and other disasters.
School officials have received so many supplies, that they don't expect to be able to use them all.
ECS Gifted Education Coordinator Dr. Wain Reed says "Most of it will probably go to Enterprise High School; kids who lost everything. And also Hillcrest Elementary because those kids lost everything in that building and can't go back and get it. So all the book bags and school supplies, we want to make sure all those kids get it first."
The remainder will be given to other students who were affected by the storm.
Anything left over will be stored, then donated to the next city in need.
