MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Following this morning's stop in Enterprise, Gov. Bob Riley is expected to arrive in Millers Ferry around 12:45 pm.
The Wilcox County stop follows his trip to inspect storm-damaged parts of Enterprise, including Enterprise High School, where eight teenagers were killed by yesterday's tornado.
Riley surveyed the damage in Enterprise and met with recovery officials, praising the actions of school officials before the storm struck.
Riley says "they saved a lot of lives."
He says he told the high school principal, 'You can do everything exactly right and have this happen."'
Meanwhile, Aaron Walker, a spokesman for the Federal Emergency
Management Agency says some 14 FEMA preliminary disaster assessment teams are already at work in Alabama.
