Henry County Shelter

Some families from the Bethlehem community have found refuge in an Abbeville shelter Thursday night.

More than 15 people have already signed up and more are expected at the Red-Cross shelter in the 1st United Methodist Church downtown.

Wiregrass Red Cross Disaster Director Shirley Sandy says, “We're always preparing we spend all year long. Getting our vendors ready our shelters set-up, shelter's trained. We're constantly training.”

A curfew has been issued for the outskirts of Henry County.

It went into affect at 7 o' clock Thursday night.

The city limits of Abbeville and the city of Headland are not included.
