Video-enhancing technology at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and the Kennedy Space Center in Florida was instrumental in helping law officers in Florida capture the suspect linked to a missing eleven-year-old girl.
At a news conference this morning, officials said 37-year-old Joseph P- Smith is NOT answering their questions about the whereabouts of Carlie Brucia. Carlie has been missing since Sunday evening.
NASA officials said the Huntsville facility uses a software program called Video Image Stabilization and Registration System or VISAR.
It was created by two Marshall center employees and was first used in 1996 to help the FBI analyze video of the bombing at the Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta.
