A week from Tuesday, more than five-thousand sports fans will arrive in Marianna.
It's part of Chipola College hosting the Florida Junior College men's and women's state basketball tournament.
It's the 12th-straight year that Chipola will host the four-day event.
Several business leaders at Tuesday's news conference said the tournament is a tremendous economic boost to the Jackson County economy.
More than 200 rooms along I-10 have already been booked for the tourney, which will include teams as far away as Miami.
President of Chipola College Dr. Gene Prough says, "It'll definitely have a good impact on the community."
Next week's tournament is expected to pump-in more than three-hundred thousand dollars to the area economy.
