MOBILE (AP) - A 21-year-old man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the murder of a teenager who was beaten and then set afire in Mobile.
Kendrick Hamilton received a sentence of life without parole Monday. He pleaded guilty to capital murder in the death of 18-year-old Donna Stoutamire in 2005.
Hamilton was a football player at Williamson High School, and Stoutamire was his girlfriend.
Prosecutors say Hamilton beat up Stoutamire in anger and then splashed her with gasoline before setting her ablaze.
