Draugh’s Bond Reduced

Police are calling it a mockery of justice and family members say it's unbelievable.

A Daleville man charged with murder had his bond reduced to $25,000 Thursday.

Johnny William Draugh was arrested and charged with murder after he admitted to police he stabbed Ronald Miller in the left side of the chest with a kitchen knife.

Dale County’s district attorney recommended the maximum $50,000 bond for Draugh, but Judge Stanley Garner reduced it based on several factors including the defendant's felony-free history.

Dale County jailers say Draugh has not yet made his bond.

The minimum bond for a class A felony is $5,000.
