Girl Struck and Killed During Mardi Gras Parade in Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Tuesday's Mardi Gras festivities in Mobile, Alabama, were marred by tragedy.
A young girl was struck by a car and fatally injured during the city's big Mardi Gras parade. Witnesses said a man in a beige Buick ran over her.
The driver hit another car and ran off the road as he tried to flee. Some of the victim's relatives held the driver until police arrived.
A 23-year-old man was taken into custody. So far, he's only been charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
