An arrest has been made in a three-month-old Wiregrass murder case.
Fifty-eight-year-old Franklin Herring, of Samson, is accused of fatally shooting 41-year-old William Thames of Westville.
Thames was fatally struck by a shotgun blast in the kitchen of a rural home in the Hacoda community in Geneva County.
The shooting took place after a Halloween party last October.
Herring has been released from jail on a $100,000 bond. His next scheduled court appearance is in April.
