Missing Girl Home

A missing 15-year-old Panhandle girl was found safe in Alabama, and police are trying to determine whether she ran away or was abducted. Janelle Angelea Adkins was found at a home in Troy Tuesday.

An Amber Alert had been issued for her after her parents reported her missing from their home Sunday. A former co-worker was detained in Slocomb, Alabama.

Twenty-three-year-old Alex Gonzalez told investigators where to find the girl. Police say charges are pending and will depend on what the girl tells investigators when they have a chance to interview her. Both worked at Tampico's, a Mexican restaurant in Niceville that burned down in September.

The girl's father says she apparently left her bedroom through a window after the screen had been cut. There were no signs of a struggle in the room.
