For some of the Michael Jackson fans gathered outside a California courthouse today, their support of the pop star is proving to be very personal.
Crowds of fans and reporters have gathered at the court in Santa Maria for Jackson's arraignment this morning on child molestation charges.
One fan says her love for Jackson and his music saved her life, when she was trapped in a burning house a few years ago.
Jade Johnson says she thought she was going to die, but then realized her dream of meeting Jackson hadn't come true yet. She says that thought enabled her to jump out a window and make it out alive.
Johnson says some people don't realize the impact Jackson and his music have on his fans.
People outside the courthouse are holding signs supporting the pop star. Some are selling T-shirts featuring his face.
