Panama City Beach Murder Trial Begin

A man accused of killing a Panama City Beach police officer goes on trial this week.

24-year old Robert Bailey of Milwaukee is charged with first degree murder.

He's accused in the shooting death of Officer Kevin Kight.

Sergeant Kight was gunned down during a routine traffic stop in March of 2005.

Bailey was arrested later at a beach motel.

State Attorney Steve Meadows says prosecutors will seek the death penalty in the case.

Jury selection begins Monday at the bay county courthouse.
