DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Fire has destroyed a surburban Atlanta home that belonged to gospel singer Ricky Dillard.
Dillard's manager William Bogle says the house burned to the ground early Tuesday.
DeKalb County Fire Department spokesman Captain Eric Jackson says firefighters were called to the home around 3 am and found it fully engulfed.
He says NO one was in the home and there were NO injuries.
Bogle says Dillard is in New York today. He says the grammy-nominated gospel singer had been in Toronto three days earlier recording a live album.
Bogle says he has spoken with Dillard by phone and described Dillard as "distraught" about the fire.
He says Dillard had NOT planned to return to Atlanta until February, but likely will come back earlier because of the fire.
