Dothan police continue their search for a man they say is a dangerous fugitive. Police are looking for, Mark Anthony Beecham.

Beecham was arrested back in march of last year, after police say he sexually assaulted a woman inside her home, on Headland Avenue in Dothan. He was charged with burglary rape and sodomy, but then posted bond.

In December, police say Beecham struck again, on the 400 block of east Newton Street, where police say he choked a woman until she was unconscious, drove her to a nearby lot and sexually assaulted her.

New warrants have been obtained for this latest assault, and now police say they need the public's help in tracking Beecham down.

"Mark Beecham is considered armed and dangerous because of the violent. He was out on bond for a rape earlier in 2006. He made bond and again assaulted a female... a vicious attack so yes we do consider him armed and dangerous,” said Corporal Frank Meredith of the Dothan Police Department.

Police are following several leads in this case, but they say they're not sure whether Beecham is still in the Dothan area or if he has fled.

Anyone with information about Beecham's whereabouts is asked to call the Dothan Police Department at (334) 615-3000 or Crimestoppers at 334 793-7000. You may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
