Enterprise Purse Snatcher

Enterprise Police are looking for the suspect in an overnight purse snatching incident that left the victim injured.

Ann Campbell told police she was leaving the Winn Dixie Supermarket on the Boll Weevil Circle when a man approached her at the door.

After asking to use her cell phone the suspect reportedly grabbed Cambell's purse.

After a brief struggle the 56-year-old woman was slammed against the ground and suffered facial abrasions.

The incident is not believed related to several recent purse snatchings from unlocked vehicles.

"Don’t leave your purse in plain view. Go ahead and place your purse in the car, and then place groceries in the vehicle. Be careful when placing the purse in the buggies," recommended Sgt. Chris Peterson.

The suspect in Tuesday night's incident is reportedly a black male around five-foot-seven and 140 pounds.

He was last seen driving an older model, white Chevrolet Malibu.

If you have any information, you should call your local law enforcement agency.
