The high price of fuel may be one reason why a popular Christmas attraction in northwest Florida had low attendance numbers.
This week, Defuniak Springs officials say the turnout was lower than expected for the 2006 Christmas Reflections light display.
The four million light extravaganzas go more than a mile around Lake Defuniak.
This past holiday season raised $48,000. However in 2005, the figure was just under $52,000.
Even with the revenue decline, organizers say the month-long event still showed a profit.
Around $10,000 will be donated to city-run events.
