A Wiregrass man faces charges after driving drunk through people's yards, destroying property.

Twenty-five-year-old Anthony Gumpenberger of Ozark is charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage.

Walton County Sheriff's Investigators say Gumpenberger was driving recklessly in his Jeep Cherokee in Freeport.

A witness reportedly jumped into his own car, chased Gumperberger down and was able to restrain him until authorities arrived.

An investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the chase.
