A 19-year-old man is getting a life prison term after pleading guilty to killing his mother and stepfather with a baseball bat.
Charleston Andrews used the aluminum bat to kill Ruthie Mae Andrews Walker and Jack Paul Walker in their Blountstown home on July 20. Investigators say Andrews hid Jack Walker's body in a trash pile behind the home. Ruthie Walker was found dead about a mile from the home, also hidden beneath debris.
Authorities say Andrews was diagnosed as bipolar with severe emotional problems. They say he had a history of violent explosions.
Andrews also pleaded guilty Wednesday to stealing his parents' Ford Explorer. Police found the bat was found inside the vehicle.
