PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Heavy fog at Pensacola Regional Airport Sunday is frustrating some travelers.

Airport director Frank Miller says no flights have been able to get in or out of the airport today. That's compared with its usual 100 flights.

A meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Mobile says the fog is expected to last until sometime between eight and ten pm when a cold front coming from the west is expected to break it up.

Forecasters have issued a dense fog advisory until that time from Mobile east to Destin.

Meteorologist Joe Maniscalco says the dense fog and low cloud cover is the result of southerly winds bringing warm, moist air over cooler water temperatures. That's typical for wintertime.

The airport was not able to get flights in or out on Thursday, either.
