Half Dozen Homes Destroyed or Damaged by Possible Tornado

ATLANTA (AP) - A line of severe thunderstorms moved across north
Georgia Sunday night, damaging some houses and downing trees and power lines, but no injuries were reported.

Mike Leary, a forecaster with the National Weather Service office in Peachtree City, said he was "pretty sure" a tornado struck in Coweta County south of Atlanta, where a half dozen homes were damaged or destroyed by wind or fallen trees.

Leary said "We are going back in the morning and check it."

When the weather rolled through Atlanta, it caused travel delays
of 45 minutes or less at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
