New Brockton Growing Population

Central Coffee County is considered by many realtors to be a hot market.

The sudden residential and business growth seems to be paying dividends.

Indiana Native Sharon Herring recently moved with her family to New Brockton. Sharon manages a downtown grocery store, which recently opened.

It's one of several new businesses in the last six-months.

With new sales taxes approaching, officials say the city can pay its bills without borrowing money.

"People are extremely friendly. Just a nice town to be in; the kind of a town in which there is not better place," said Herring.

The highly anticipated Mayberry Housing Subdivision is currently under construction in New Brockton and is scheduled to open soon.
