A trial date has been set for a condemned killer from Dothan who's getting another day in court after his conviction was overturned on appeal.
Bobby Baker was 20-years-old when he was arrested for a 1994 shooting spree that left two people wounded and his wife dead.
Tracy Baker was kidnapped at gunpoint and shot to death with an assault rifle.
Baker was found guilty of capital murder and sentenced to die.
However the Alabama Supreme Court later ruled that jurors should not have been allowed to hear evidence of previous domestic violence involving Baker and his wife.
District Attorney Doug Valeska says he'll try to convict Baker again and send him back to death row.
The case has been set for trial starting January 8.
