A federal grand jury this week returned a seven-count indictment against a Dale County man. U.S. Attorney Leura Garrett Canary said 21-year-old Michael Lewis Wiley of Midland City is charged with burglarizing a pawnshop in Dothan where several semiautomatic weapons were stolen. The indictment alleges Wiley used the guns during an attempted robbery of a Dothan convenience store.
The case was investigated by Dothan police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
In a separate case, Canary said 37-year-old Tiffany Kay Bradley of Montgomery was indicted on three counts of using a false social security number in connection with the filing of a bankruptcy petition in federal court.
Trial dates for Wiley and Bradley are pending.
