The city of Dothan is saving tax dollars while helping dispose of old Christmas tree.
Dothan Utilities is recycling Christmas trees at the water and light office on South Park Avenue outside the Ross Clark Circle.
Workers are mulching the trees to save landfill space and tax dollars.
You can drop off your tree through January 5th.
Just be sure to remove the ornaments, tinsel, lights and stand.
City officials say, for every ten Christmas trees recycled, one cubic yard of landfill space is saved.
