Next week a dedication ceremony is planned for more than a dozen new hangers at the Enterprise Municipal Airport.
This week, the city council approved local match monies for a federal aviation administration grant.
Enterprise will donate $62,000, in return, the city will receive $310,000 in federal money.
It will probably be used for a runway extension to better accommodate jet service.
As time goes on, Mayor Alford hopes to see continued growth and modernization at the municipal airport.
