Dale Co. man arrested on sex charges
The Henry County Sheriff's office and Abbeville Police Department task force arrested a Level Plains man for sodomy and sexual abuse.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Abbeville Police Department’s Investigative Task Force – General Case Division arrested a suspect on sex charges late last night.
71 yr old Rex Lloyd Wheeler of A Street in Level Plains was arrested and charged with a felony count of sodomy 1st degree and a felony count of sexual abuse 1st degree.
Wheeler allegedly committed the sexual assaults on two 20 yr old females while they were in his camper in the campgrounds of Hardridge Creek Park north of Abbeville.
Wheeler is currently in the Henry County Jail under no bond awaiting his initial appearance.
