Next Monday is expected to be the busiest mail day of the year, the largest volume of holiday cards and packages being sent just a week before Christmas.
Many folks will look to escape the long lines by driving to small town post offices like in Coffee Springs.
The community is located eight-miles from Geneva and around 12 miles from Enterprise.
The facility's longtime postmaster says she gets customers looking to get in and out quickly:
"This week we had one woman come in all the way from enterprise. She had 20 parcels. She said it was easier to drive here and do her business than wait on line in Enterprise," said Mona Crews of Coffee Springs Post Office.
Many of the larger post offices in the tri-states will have part time employees on hand to keep up with the large amount of mail and packages expected next Monday.
