Ozark police and the Dale County district attorney are giving all sweepstakes business owners until the end of this week to get rid of all machines inside the city.
Police handed out letters Wednesday to business owners telling them to stop business immediately.
Anyone refusing to shut down will be prosecuted.
Police say any machine found inside a business after Friday at noon will be confiscated.
This comes after the Alabama Supreme Court ruled the sweepstakes machines to be illegal
