More assistance could be coming to those at Hamilton crossroads.
Pike County Commission voted unanimously to apply for a community development block grant to help replace the community's water tower.
The water tower was destroyed during severe weather last month.
Officials say the county should be eligible for the money since the tower supports two businesses that together employ about 70 people.
The grant can be up to $600,000 and require a 20 percent match.
Officials say that match can come from the water authority's insurance.
