A local organization has gathered and wrapped hundreds of gifts for Wiregrass children who won't share Christmas with their family because their parents are in jail.
His Prison Ministries accepts monetary donations annually so children can have toys, clothes, and other gifts under the tree.
Nearly 200 area children will be helped this year through the program.
“I remember one child said last year 'momma sent me a present from jail. I didn't know they had presents in jail' and that child was so excited,” said Linda Wimes, founder of His Prison Ministries.
There are still several children who need warm clothes.
