(June 22, 2009) – Andalusia Regional Hospital is pleased to bring another level of orthopaedic care to the Andalusia region by affiliating with the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Florida - one of the country’s leading orthopaedic and sports medicine centers.

Physicians and clinicians at the Andrews Institute will be available to assist and consult with the orthopedic surgeons and other physicians on Andalusia Regional Hospital’s medical staff. Opportunities for Andalusia Regional physicians to attend continuing education programs and preceptorships with the Andrews Institute will be a key component of the partnership.

As part of the agreement, the Andrews Institute will offer educational programs in Andalusia for clinicians and will also offer community education programs presented in Andalusia twice a year. The Andrews Institute will educate the hospital’s staff on treatment protocols currently utilized by the Andrews Institute physicians and clinical services.
