Enterprise Holds First Ever Superman Celebration

Several national studies have shown that children with a strong male role model do better academically, and have fewer behavioral problems in school.

The Enterprise City School System held its first ever Superman Celebration.

It's designed for kindergarten and first-graders along with their dads, grandfathers, and uncles.

Traditionally, moms will attend public school functions with their children, but the director of Parental Involvement says it's important to get fathers involved as well.

"Male parental involvement dads, granddads, uncles; they are all important in our children's education and this is also a good way to kick off the holiday season," said Director Destiny Hudson of Parental Involvement.

Throughout the year, Enterprise City heads-up parental involvement groups at all of its schools.
