Tax Plan Too Complex

Taking a look back on the defeat of his tax and accountability package, Gov. Bob Riley says he has one regret, that it was a little too complex.

Failure of the tax plan has left many state agencies wondering how they'll make it next year.

Ozark City School Superintendent Dr. Dan Payant is among many who will find out next Friday how much money they'll get from the state.

For now, Dr. Payant says they're expecting at least seven percent proration which will mean a loss of about $800,000 for the Ozark City School System.

Dr. Payant says they'll keep cuts as far away from the classroom as possible. However, he says personnel cuts could become a reality by next year.
