DeFuniak Springs Public Forum

DeFuniak Springs’ police want to get the public's opinion on how they can better do their jobs.

Chief Mike Adkinson discussed several topics including crime and a recent wave of arsons to more than 100 residents.

In addition, the one-time Tallahassee Police officer explained the different divisions within his department.

Chief Adkinson also tried to minimize several conflicts between his agency and the Walton County Sheriff's department.

"I am dedicated in improving the communication between our agency and other local agencies. Its something that we must do and you the public we need to do it for you," said Chief Adkinson.

The open forum was such a success that DeFuniak Springs’ police hope to hold them periodically during the upcoming year.
