Habitat for Humanity

Some local students are pitching in to make a difference in tehir community. The educatoin Guidance Group is working with Habitat for Humanity.

The organization is made up of students from Headland, Dothan, Enterprise and other surrounding cities. More than 30 volunteers showed up today to help lay sod in the new habitat development. The homes are being built to house hurricane Katrina victimes.

Coordinator of Saturday's event Elizabeth Holland said, "We felt it important for the kids to see christian principals can start young and you don't have to wait until you're an adult."

If you would like to help complete the Habitat for Humanity project, they are holding another sod laying next Saturday. The development is just off Lake Street in Dothan and everyone is invited to attend.
