Auditors are still trying to determine how much is missing from a local Daleville grocery store, after a cashier admitted to stealing a large sum of money.
Thirty-two-year-old Tamara Bayhi pled guilty to stealing more than $2,500 from the store's register.
Police say Bayhi and a co-defendant took more than $100,000 over a three year period.
“This man's out of a lot of money. I mean he's a business owner. This is his life. To take her into custody and get her convicted is a happy moment for us in this,” said Investigator Gerald Ganous of Daleville Police Department.
Bayhi was sentenced to 10-years in prison.
