Missing Northport Girl

Northport Police say the closing of a command center Thursday does not mean they've stopped searching for 11-year-old Heaven LaShae Ross.

A police spokesman said investigators are aggressively pursuing leads and nothing has been scaled back.

Officials say the command center was closed because the volume of calls and tips coming in decreased.

Heaven LaShae vanished August 19th while walking to her bus stop in a Northport neighborhood.

Governor Bob Riley recently authorized a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the little girl's disappearance.

Businesses in Tuscaloosa County are offering $65,000 for information leading to her safe return.

If you have seen Heaven LaShae Ross or have information on her whereabouts, contact the Northport Police Department at 205-339-6600 or Crimestoppers at 205-752-7867.
