DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - Organizers of an HIV/AIDS awareness forum
for teenagers expect a large turnout for the event in Dothan on
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System has partnered with the
Black Entertainment Television Network for the "Rap-It-Up" forum,
set for 6:30 pm at the Dothan Opera House.
The panel discussion moderated by a BET representative will
feature students, AIDS activists and educators, a physician, and
Rosalind James of the Extension System said more than 700 people
from the Wiregrass area are expected to attend the event.
Free HIV/AIDS testing will be coordinated by Delia Reynolds, HIV/AIDS coordinator for the Alabama Department of Public Health.
